Melanie Kill is a scholar and professor of writing studies and digital rhetoric in the English Department at the University of Maryland. She asks big questions about writing, technology, embodiment, and social justice. She values critical perspectives informed by lived experience, her own and that of others. She wants humanities knowledge to reflect, and be accessible for, more of humanity.

Background image is of a DEC PDP-11/34 minicomputer, data drive storage cabinet, modem, a covered typewriter, and DECwriter terminal under a window with mustard yellow curtains open to show a sunny day. The photo was taken circa 1984 in the basement playroom of my childhood home.
